My favorite resources!
While I love sharing everything I know about the divine, I wanted to include additional help so that you may continue your journey. Below is a list of resources, most of which I used to cross reference everything I spoke about on this blog. Additionally, some must be purchased but many of these are free, so happy learning!
Books:
1. The Encyclopedia of Angels by Rosemary Ellen Guiley
This is a wonderful book when wanting to understand specific terminology and background of the angels. Each page is packed full of valuable information, photographs, and references that can be easily understood. This would be a great read for someone curious about the divine who does not yet feel comfortable committing to the practice.
2. The Angel Bible by Hazel Raven
This is essentially a pocket guide to everything you have ever wanted to know about angels. The book explains what angels are, offers specific techniques to aid the reader in connection, and even dedicates several chapters to the different tools one may use in their practice. As a result, this is the perfect read for individuals on every step of their path due to the variety of information it covers.
3. Angel Numbers by Kyle Gray
This book briefly explains the background behind why angels use numbers as a tool for communication then gives detailed descriptions of numbers 0-999. Additionally, the author encourages the reader to use their teachings as oracle when connecting with the divine! This book could align with individuals on all paths due to breaking down concepts into very simple terms.
4. The 72 Archangels of Magick by Damon Brand
In this book, Brand lists all of the archangels as well as gives a description of what they can be used to help you with. In the second half of the book, he then gives the reader insight on their sigils and different techniques to invoke them. This book would be ideal for someone who already considers themselves a practitioner due to the intensity of the teachings.
Podcasts:
1. Glitch Bottle
Glitch Bottle is a podcast dedicated to Western magic and the uncommon. Specifically, there is an episode called "Jinn, Angels, and Islamic Esotericism" where they interview Dr. Ali A. Olomi as he gives the history of each, and explains how they coincide with modern day practices.
2. Magick and Alchemy
This podcast is a great resource for all things magickal! Two women explore their own spiritual journey while inviting guests on the show to share their teachings. Additionally, they invite the listener to ask questions and explain concepts in very simple, funny, and relatable terms.
3. Spiritual Shit
This podcast is another that covers a wide variety of topics relating to spirituality. Specifically, there is an episode called "Angels, Witches, and Cards" where she interviews special guest Taylor Paige as they discuss each.
Videos:
1. Steve Nobel
Steve Nobel has an array of Youtube videos that serve as powerful meditations to channel the archangels and much more. One of my personal favorites is a cord cutting meditation in which you invoke the energy of Archangel Michael to help release what no longer serves you.
2. Kyle Gray
Kyle Gray has an entire website of free resources such as videos where he goes over the basics of the archangels as well as shares prayers, meditations, and tools to help on your journey.
3. Josephine Mccarthy
Josephine Mccarthy has dedicated an entire website called the Quareia that teaches you everything you need to know about Alchemy, and the best part is that it is completely free! She even takes the time to break down all of her teachings into three parts: apprentice, initiate, and adept. During each, there are several sections where she discusses angelic beings therefore this is by far the most accessible resource.
